Hilarious glitches and Cyberpunk 2077 now go hand-in-hand, with the latest example involving raining cars, bug-filled traffic accidents, and a comedy of errors. Since CD Projekt RED released the RPG nearly two weeks, the internet has been inundated with images and videos that showcase the title at its best and its absolute worst.
While some of the game’s myriad issues are laughter-inducing here and there, many of the problems are far from worthy of a good chuckle. Countless players on last-gen consoles especially have experienced game-breaking bugs, crashes, and an assortment of other troubles that unfortunately diminish or outright ruin the experience. Over the weekend, PC players ran into an item duplication glitch, wherein crafting a large number of items can result in save file corruption. Suffice it to say, these last couple of weeks have not been good for CD Projekt RED or its previous reputation as a consumer-friendly developer.
A new glitch-laden video is making the rounds now, courtesy of a post from Reddit user Szynite. The clip in question, which lasts just over 30 seconds long, starts fine enough as the player simply drives under a bridge on a motorcycle. Trouble ensues once they reenter the sunlit street, where a few cars randomly fall out of the sky, culminating in traffic accidents. After his car lands on its side, the NPC behind the wheel of one vehicle quickly escapes the crash. He does so by floating upwards in the most bizarre manner; however, even that miraculous trick doesn’t save the NPC from his car’s fiery explosion a split second later. Who knows, maybe this clip will make its way to another cleverly edited bug-centric Cyberpunk 2077 video?
Again, while such videos do warrant a good laugh, the game’s broken state isn’t doing CD Projekt RED any favors. For one, in an unprecedented move, Sony Interactive Entertainment delisted Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. Neither Sony nor CDPR have clarified when the title will return to the storefront. This decision was soon thereafter followed by Microsoft’s extending its refund policy for Cyberpunk 2077. Retailers like Best Buy similarly adjusted their return policy for a limited period of time.
And developers within the Polish company are not too happy about recent events, either. A recent report from Bloomberg claims CDPR employees are frustrated with studio management. During an internal meeting held last week, some staffers reportedly questioned their bosses about crunch practices and past comments to media regarding Cyberpunk 2077‘s state of readiness earlier in the year. With a class-action lawsuit possibly landing on its doorstep in the near future, the studio’s problems are unlikely to an cease anytime soon.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available to purchase now on Google Stadia, PC, and Xbox One. While the title has been delisted from the PS Store, PlayStation users can still pick up physical copies at retailers.
