I have spoken
It’s the fourth Mando Monday and Hasbro has revealed more The Mandalorian products in the Black Series line. With three new figures for the line. It’s been hinted for some time that Moff Gideon and Greef Karga would join in the Black Series line and I have to say I am surprised that Kuill has joined the line too and I am very happy about that!
All of these figures are must-have’s for me and I have to say I really like the look of the three figures. The likeness to Giancarlo Esposito doesn’t look the best in these promo images but like the Deluxe Mandalorian Black Series that comes out later this month the likeness will look better in hand as I have seen shots of the Pedro Pascal unmasked head and it looks great so I’m sure Moff Gideon would look better in hand. I am really pleased that he comes with the dark saber as that’s an essential accessory.
I’m glad that Greef Karga is a part of the line as he has a big role to play in the first series and he’ll be back in the second series. It looks like this figure is based on his appearance in the first series. The likeness to Carl Weathers is pretty darn good and I think it’ll look even better in hand and I am glad that he comes with his two blaster pistols. I have to say I am a sucker for gunslingers in the Black Series line the more the merrier!
My only gripe with this figure and with Moff is the plastic capes. As it hinders the articulation though it’s not too bad with Greef as it’s a half coat with Moff it’s a plastic cape so it’s going to be a little difficult posing it with him on. Of course, I’m still going to get him as he’s an essential character for the display.
I’m very surprised that we’re getting Kuill in the line, that’s a big surprise for me as I thought we would never get him in the Black Series at all but I am so stoked we are and he’s our first Ugnaught in the Black Series line and he looks great! I really liked his character and I am glad that he’s in the line and it gives me hope that we’ll see more characters from series 1 in the Black Series line.
All of these figures will be released in the Spring of next year and I honestly cannot wait for them and the rest of the wave which will be a repack of the Armorer and Dark Side Rey. It should be noted that these figures aren’t store exclusives and will be available to pre-order from various e-retailers later today.
