Man Arrested and Charged With Murder in King Von’s Shooting Death

Earlier this week, 26-year-old rapper King Von was killed outside of a hookah lounge in Atlanta, Georgia. Today (November 7), Atlanta police have arrested 22-year-old Timothy Leeks and charged him with the rapper’s murder, the  Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Marla Jean Rooker, a spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that Leeks was in custody at Grady Hospital, adding that the Chicago-born rapper’s homicide case “is closed with this arrest.” During the incident, one other person was killed, three others were injured, and another remains in critical condition. Their names have not been released. After King Von’s death was confirmed on Friday, Chance the Rapper, YG, and more shared their remembrances of the late rapper online, with LeBron James writing, “The kid had a damn good future ahead of him.”
