Ubisoft is planning a lot of post-launch content for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has a stacked schedule of content players will get to play in the weeks and months following launch. Ubisoft today offered a high-level view of what you can expect this year and next.

For starters, Valhalla has a season pass that offers two expansions, and one exclusive quest. The first expansion, titled Wrath of the Druids, is due for release in spring 2021. This add-on is set in Ireland, centred around a druidic cult and featuring Gaelic myths.

The Siege of Paris is the second and final expansion, set for release in the summer. As the name might suggest, the DLC will chronicle the battles of Frankia. You’ll be able to visit under-siege Paris and meet several key historical figures.

Finally, the season pass also includes the previously revealed Legend of Beowulf quest. This one is available at launch, and it follows the iconic legend.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is also adopting the model of seasonal updates. The game’s first season kicks off in December shortly after launch. Each season will last three months, and introduce free new content and in-game events.

In Season One, you can expect your settlement to expand with a new area. The Yule Festival will be the season’s main event. As for new content, Season One will introduce the River Raids, which aims to create a replayable raiding experience similar to what you can experience in the main campaign. It will also introduce new player skills, weapons and gear.

The Jomsviking, essentially followers you can recruit over the course of the campaign, will also get an update during the same season to make it possible for them to earn XP and grow in power. On top of all that, seasonal updates also launch with a host of cosmetic items for your character, longship, horse and the settlement itself.

Season Two kicks off in March 2021 with a mysterious new game mode, yet another Jomsviking update, a new festival, and an assortment of gear and weapons. Ubisoft confirmed that Seasons Three and Four are also planned, with details on those to be revealed closer to their respective launches.

And, as is now custom, the Discovery Tour mode is coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla just like Origins and Odyssey before it. It will arrive at some point next year.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is out November 10 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Stadia.
