Solicitations have gone out for a bunch of collectibles from Diamond Select Toys. As you can see there’s some brand new reveals which I have to say I am quite surprised by quite a number of them and there’s some great re-releases too!
I’m very happy to hear that DST is re-releasing they’re The Muppets in best of waves as I know that many fans (including myself) missed out on them so it’s great to see fans get a second chance to get these figures.
The same goes for the Marvel Select Spectacular Spider-Man though I do have that one in my collection and is undoubtedly the best comic book Spider-Man Select figure that they have released to date. Again this one will be a Disney Store Exclusive.
It’s been known for a few months now that DST has plans to re-release some more of their sought-after Marvel Select figures which the fans have been after and in some cases they’ll be upgrading them. One of these re-releases is The Thing from Fantastic Four. As far as I know Diamond Select has not completed the team in Select figure form so maybe this is a hint of things to come and I would not be surprised if they re-release Silver Surfer and Doctor Doom as well.
I didn’t expect Diamond Select Toys to release a Deluxe John Wick figure from John Wick and I have to say this is a fantastic looking release and I can understand the higher price point as he comes with more accessories than your standard Select release. I’m curious as to how much this figure will cost here in the UK.
One of the biggest surprises for me is that Diamond Select is releasing a Pirates of the Caribbean Jack Sparrow figure! I remember a few years ago when Diamond Select Toys announced that they have the rights to Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales and I was so excited for the figures and I was absolutely gutted when they were canceled so I am so stoked for this figure. I think the reason that they are releasing this is that they have the rights from Disney to release figures of characters from certain properties such as The Rocketeer figure that they released earlier this year. So you can imagine I am very excited about this release later this year.
I’ve been a fan of the Crow comic book and film since I was a late teenager so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this. For years there hasn’t been an affordable The Crow action figure until now so I’ll be more than happy to get this version based on his appearance from the cult classic film. The likeness to the late Brandon Lee isn’t the best but I’m sure that’ll be updated before the figure’s release later this year.
