Warner Bros. is considering moving Christopher Nolan’s next film, Tenet, off its planned July 17 release date – if 80% of global theaters aren’t open in time, according to Deadline.
Citing unnamed sources, Deadline reports Tenet may be pushed back from its planned July release if 80% of theaters around the world, most of which are currently shut down due to coronavirus, are not operational in time for Warner Bros. to make a profit on the film.
If Tenet moves, it could take Wonder Woman 1984‘s planned August 14 date, according to theater owners cited by Deadline. Should that happen, Wonder Woman 1984 could reportedly be pushed as far back as December.
