‘Top Retailers’ will be receiving advance copies of the postponed Black Widow #1 later this month – even though the #1 itself won’t officially be on sale for months.

In the latest edition of its retailers-only newsletter, Marvel says that “top retailers will receive copies of the Black Widow #1 variant with gorgeous artwork by Travis Charest, with an in-store date of 5/27 This will serve as a sneak peek to the upcoming series!”

While originally scheduled to go on-sale April 1, Diamond’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic initially led this – and all of Marvel’s other titles – to be postponed indefinitely. While Marvel has announced this week when some of the postponed titles would be coming out, Black Widow #1 was not among them.

Marvel has not diclosed which comic book stores are classified as “top retailers” and qualify to sell this early, Charest variant to Black Widow #1 on May 27

Newsarama has asked Marvel which retailers will have this in stock on May 27, and when the issue itself will be released to the general public (in print and digitally).
