It may not have been until 1994 when Green Day managed to really hit the big time, pushing forward to fully embrace the new wave punk scene that was fast gathering pace, but it was only a few years prior to that which saw the band drop their very first LP – 39/Smooth – in early 1990. Some 30 years later and the band are quite possibly the biggest name in the punk rock scene, and with the 13th studio album just recently releasing we see them once more come to Rocksmith with a brand new set of tracks in the Green Day Song Pack IV.

Yep, that’s right, this is the fourth song pack for Rocksmith to fully focus all energy on Billie Joe Armstrong, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt, as the collective Green Day. Following on from headlining the 90s Mix Song Pack VI, the Green Day Song Pack II, and Song Pack III, and priced up at £6.69, the Green Day Song Pack IV contains not only a cracking tune from their much underrated Insomniac long-player, but a couple of brand new tracks of their latest album, Father of All…

Included in the Rocksmith Green Day Song Pack IV is:

  • Father of All…
  • Fire, Ready, Aim
  • Brain Stew

But not only can you grab the full song pack from both the Xbox Store (for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 players), and the PlayStation Store (for those preferring the PS4 and PS3 way of life), but each tracks is available as an individual purchase. Costing just £2.49 each, if you wish to pick and choose which songs you will be learning, playing, and mastering over the next few weeks then the opportunity is there to do so.

As always, you will need a copy of the brilliant base game to hand in order to enjoy the riffs of the remarkable Green Day, but one quick whizz through our full review of Rocksmith on Xbox One will probably be enough to see you a purchase.

If this Green Day Song Pack IV isn’t to your liking then there are also a whole host of other cracking song packs available. Check out the back catalogue and let us know what you decide to pick up. The comments section is right down below.
