In a touching moment between two old colleagues, Patrick Stewart has invited Whoopie Goldberg to reprise her Star Trek: The Next Generation role as Guinan for season two of his upcoming eponymous CBS All Access show Star Trek: Picard.

“Alex Kurtzmann, the producer of Picard, and all of his colleagues – of which I am one – would like to invite you to join us for the second season,” Stewart told a visibly surprised Goldberg.

Goldberg portrayed Guinan, Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s counselor and confidant, for 29 episodes across multiple seasons and two films.

“I’ve said this before, but Star Trek was one of the great experiences, from the beginning to the end. I had the best time ever,” Goldberg responded, agreeing to appear in the show. “Yes. Yes! Oh yeah!”

“I’m so glad to hear that. It was wonderful having you, and we cannot wait to have you with us again one more time,” said Stewart. It’s unclear if by “one more time” he meant one appearance or one season, or if it was a general statement.

Here’s video of the surprise moment from January 22’s episode of The View:
