Ed Sheeran and possibly Lin-Manuel Miranda will have cameos in Star Wars: The Rise of SkywalkerThe Rise of Skywalker is coming out in less than a month, and fans are more than ready to see the conclusion of the Skywalker Saga. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, and Adam Driver have been the main stars throughout the sequel trilogy, but there were quite a few cameo roles in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Both the original and prequel trilogies included cameo roles for celebrities, and J.J. Abrams kept up the fun in The Force Awakens. Michael Giacchino, Radiohead’s producer Nigel Godrich, and Daniel Craig played Stormtroopers, while Simon Pegg played the unrecognizable role of Unkar Plutt and the Star Wars veteran Warwick Davis played a character named Wollivan. Rian Johnson took this even further with The Last Jedi, giving Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy, Justin Theroux, and many others small roles in his sequel. Even Prince William and Prince Harry filmed cameos for the film, although their scene didn’t make it into the final cut of the movie. Now, it looks like The Rise of Skywalker will be continuing the fun.

A new Rise of Skywalker special look was recently posted on the official Star Wars YouTube page. The video lets fans take a look at how the Star Wars films have impacted generations of fans across four decades, while also showing some behind-the-scenes shots of The Rise of Skywalker. Sheeran and Miranda can both be spotted in the video dressed up as a Stormtrooper and a Resistance fighter, respectively. Also, Miranda recently posted on Twitter about his experience on the set of The Rise of Skywalker, raising a bit of doubt that he is actually in the film.

With the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker inching closer, Disney is starting to pump out new marketing material for the film. In the past few weeks, fans have been treated to a slew of new pictures of the heroes and villains of the film, as well as TV spots showing new footage from The Rise of Skywalker. Fans have even gotten several new Star Wars posters, all of which are being used to build excitement for the finale of the Skywalker Saga.

While there has been plenty of marketing material showing new elements of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the video above is mostly being used for nostalgia purposes. However, some fans will certainly be most pleased to see the BTS look at the new movie. Sheeran has become incredibly popular in the last few years, so it shouldn’t come as a huge surprise that he has a cameo in the film. As for Miranda, it seems unlikely that they would give him a full costume if he wasn’t actually in the film. That being said, fans won’t know for sure until Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters next month.
